ForeSea – ForeSea is an information system for accidents, incidents / “near misses” and non-conformities at sea. The system is designed and used of the shipping industry in Sweden and Finland and is a developed version of the Swedish information system INSJÖ (

The two systems are until July 2013 run parallel and are administrated of an independent third party, IPSO Classification & Control AB.

ForeSea collects reports from ISM-managers/Designated Persons and the reporting is voluntary and are recorded anonymously in ForeSea´s “Experience Data Bank”

Currently (2014) there are approximately 3000 reports (in English) in the data bank.
